It’s Joel Madden’s 29th birthday on Tuesday, and Nicole Richie was out stopping by a party store in LA to pick some balloons and party favors for the special occasion.

Besides planning out Joel’s 30th, the former Simple Life star has been all tied up with the duties of tending to her baby daughter Harlow Madden.
