Singer Mariah Carey has revealed that she is ready to have kids of her own with hubby Nick Cannon but would want to raise them away from the media.

She said, “You can get caught up in Hollywood-land or celebrity-land, and that’s possibly not the best thing for kids, ’cause they didn’t ask for it.

“I really feel like it’s very urgent to be responsible and to think, ‘Well, perhaps whether I do that it’s not the best thing for my child.

“You have to take a backseat a little bit, and as someone in the public eye, you’re not used to doing that.”

Mariah Carey went a step further and branded Cannon as the ‘better dad’ for her kids.

She adds, “I couldn’t imagine anybody that I’ve ever met being a better dad.”

Well is that the criteria she looks for in guys?
