She’s had one of the most controversial hits in recent memory, and Katy Perry claims that her song “I Kissed a Girl” comes from true-life experience.

At a 2008 MTV Video Music Awards pre-party last Saturday, Miss Perry told FOX Pop Tarts’ Hollie McKay, “I really did kiss a girl.  It was one of those frat-type songs that was just fun. I don’t think citizens got the wrong view — every girl kisses their friend at some point, right?”
